"Build a game based off of a verb"

I chose "Escape" as my verb, and decided pretty quickly on a "stealth" sort of game where the aim is to not be seen and get to the other side of the level.

1.) What could I add (within the abilities of GB Studio) to increase the difficulty?
2.) Is this frustrating to play?

1. More complex movements or bigger scenes could be added to increase difficulty.

2. The game is only frustrating when the guards don't touch you but you still get sent back. This could just be lag or something though.

I really liked the ending message as well.

This is a really fun game! It kind of reminds me of Fantina's gym in Pokemon DPPT where all of the gym trainers have a flashlight that give off a triangle shaped range of light. If you get caught in this range, they battle you similar to how you get caught in this game.

For question one, you could possibly expand the range in which the enemies move. They follow a very predictable path so far so it's easy to strategize a simple route. Is it at all possible to randomize their movement or create 2 unique cycles of movement that gets tossed up every so often?

For question two, I personally love games like this so to me it's not frustrating but when I got caught my character completely disappeared off of the screen and I couldn't do anything until I refreshed the page entirely.

I really liked playing your game! I think what could be added is making the enemies move more spots in the second level.  I think it is a bit more frustrating to play on the "gameboy" than in the web version, which I found interesting, and the fact that sometimes the enemies send you back to the beginning even if you didn't touch them. Still a really good game regardless
